•Chromirox requires a mirror smooth special basecoat and a special topcoat (SCC20). Use DuPont G24700S Chromaclear for the basecoat.
All paints depicted here are over black basecoat unless otherwise noted. Different color basecoats will create a different effect. Note how the Multi Star Fine 52 appears entirely dfferent over a blue basecoat than it does over the black basecoat in the photo next to it.
Chromirox is approved as original equipment by Toyota and Suzuki in the EU to meet the EU's new hexavalent chromium restrictions on new cars.
The SCC line of Special Clear Coats can be applied over chrome plating as well as other metals.
Gold Touch Special Effects Paints
All Gold Touch special effects paints are concentrates except Marble Art and Chromirox and must be diluted 50% with acrylic lacquer thinner to make 2 liters of ready to use paint. These are not diluted like some of our competitors' paints.
